Plain terms for a small app. By using Beatline you agree to these.

What Beatline is

An app that generates tones and plays recorded ambient sound, for relaxation, focus and sleep.

It is not a medical device. It does not treat, diagnose or cure any condition, and nothing in the app is medical advice. The Science page states plainly what the research does and does not support. If sleep or anxiety is affecting your life, speak to a doctor rather than an app.

Listen safely

Do not use Beatline while driving or operating machinery, or in any situation where you need to hear what is around you.

Loud sound damages hearing permanently. The volume limit is on by default and we suggest leaving it on, particularly if you listen overnight.

If you have epilepsy, a seizure disorder, a pacemaker, or you are being treated for a hearing condition, ask your doctor before using rhythmic audio. Stop if you feel unwell.

Free and paid

Three sounds are free forever, one for each of sleep, focus and calm. No advertising, no time limit, and no account.

A subscription or the lifetime unlock opens the full library, custom frequency control, the sleep timer, and playing underneath other audio.

There is no free trial, deliberately. You pay for what you chose to buy, and nothing starts charging you after a period of grace.

Payment and cancelling

Purchases are billed through your Apple ID. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.

Cancel in your Apple subscription settings, which the Settings screen links to directly. There is no survey and no retention offer.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, since Apple takes the payment. The lifetime unlock is a single payment and does not renew.

What you may do with the sounds

Use them as much as you like, for as long as you like, for yourself.

Do not redistribute, resell, or publish the audio as your own, and do not use it in another product.

The honest limits

The app is provided as it is. We cannot promise it will suit you, that it will work on every device, or that it will never contain a fault.

To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top of this page will say when they last did, and continuing to use the app means the current version applies.
